Mr.Rakesh Mittal with an aim to offer a better import substitute of specialised battery products to not only domestic but also international battery manufacturers, started Associated Traders in the year 1996. Soon, the company was one of the few companies in India to have its own flocking facility, the company was soon appointed as the distributor of Kanecaron Modacrylic Fibre made by Japan's reputable Kaneka Corporation.
Our list of achievements were not going to stop and after a few years, in the year 2003, we acquired Moldcor International (USA), a prestigious Cork compound manufacturing Company, with its state of the art American technology leading to an increase in the company’s capacities.
In 2007, the company got appointed as a sole distributor of NIPPON SHEET GLASS, Japan for its range of products. The company initiated the manufacturing of its own PE battery separator in 2010 and started the first manufacturing line in 2013 and consequently the 2nd line of manufacturing in 2015 and 3rd in 2017 and 4th in 2020 reaching the company’s current manufacturing capacity of 20 million m²/y (equ. Automotive products). Our dedication and efforts helped us in getting ISO 9001.2008 certified in 2016, ISO 9001.2015 in 2018 and ISO 14001.2015 in 2020.
